The Ministry of Land Use and Housing is doing its part in commemorating the International Public Service Day through its participation in the exhibition,which was officially opened on Tuesday 24th June 2014 at the International Conference Centre. The Exhibition has been organised by the Department of Public administration under the theme ‘A Public Service Determined to Succeed’.
After the signing of the agreement between the Ministry of Land Use and Housing and Eden Island Development Company in 2013 the project, aptly named Eden View, as a consequence of its location facing the Eden Marina, is finally bearing fruit.
On Saturday 21st June 2014 at 1045 hrs the community of Roche Caiman and Eden Island witnessed the inauguration of the much awaited Fish Market.
Following the address made by the President of the Republic on the occasion of the National Day on 18th June 2014 the two relevant Ministers (Minister for Land Use and Housing and Minister for Finance, Trade and Investment) have given a joint interview to the national press on the revisions announced by the Head of State.
The Ministry of Land Use and Housing, specifically the Planning Authority in collaboration with the Urban Planning Council of Abu Dhabi organized a workshop on Tuesday 27th May, 2014 at 0930 hrs at the Seychelles Trading Centre Conference Room on Latanier Road.
The workshop was organised to allow the London-based consultancy company ‘ARUP’,mandated with undertaking the preparation of the Greater Victoria Development Plan and the Seychelles Strategic Plan the opportunity to meet with all the stakeholders so as to obtain all necessary information with respect to the visions;plans; problems; constraints; solutions; actions so that they have a feel and understanding of the existing local conditions.
